Back and Neck Pain
What is Back and Neck Pain?
Back and neck pain are among the most common musculoskeletal conditions, affecting people of all ages and lifestyles. They can range from mild stiffness to severe discomfort that limits movement, sleep, or daily activities. Together, the spine’s four regions — the neck, mid-back, lower back, and sacral area — play a crucial role in posture, stability, and flexibility.
The neck (cervical spine) supports the head’s weight and allows free movement, while the lower back (lumbosacral spine) connects the upper and lower body, absorbing impact and supporting everyday motion. When either area becomes strained or irritated, pain can develop suddenly or persist over time.
